The City of Laguna Hills is a beautiful location with great weather and a rich history. It was built on one of the land grants from the 1800s given to Don Juan Avila and later sold to Lewis Moulton in the late 1800s, which is why the road named Moulton Parkway is named after him. Laguna Hills officially became a city in 1991. The city is known for its excellent parks, restaurants, and places to shop. However, the Laguna Hills Mall closed and has yet to be reopened or redesigned. One of the landmarks in the city is the Taj Mahal Medical Center, built-in 1964, which is an example of contemporary neoclassical architecture.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Alicia Parkway underwent some changes, as seen in two side-by-side images from the Orange County Archives. The city has beautiful custom homes in Nellie Gail Ranch, and the Equestrian Center is also located in this area.
